Handing in monitors
Do you, as a private individual or company, have old monitors that you want to dispose of yourself? You can hand them in at Recycling Best for a fee. We charge €5 per item for old monitors smaller than 32 inches. We weigh old CRT picture tubes, larger screens, or TVs and charge €1.20 per kg. (Prices exclude VAT.)
- All displays, monitors or computer screens
- CRT TVs and screens larger than 32 inches cost €1.20 per kg.
- Tip: as an individual, hand in free of charge at your municipality's recycling center
Why does submitting monitors cost money?
Recycling Best helps you get rid of your old monitors. In addition to allowing businesses to pick up discarded monitors, you can drop off your monitors at our Best location for a fee.
Monitors are largely made of plastics or glass and contain hazardous materials. Thus, in addition to having little to no material value, they must still be safely transported, stored and processed in specially designed recycling processes. Thus, it is important to handle monitors with care and not intentionally damage them.
In order to enable the responsible recycling of monitors and displays at no cost anyway, in the Netherlands there is the possibility for private households to hand in monitors free of charge at the environmental street of your municipality. As a rule, this does not apply to companies and organizations. They themselves are responsible for using a registered and licensed collector, such as Recycling Best, and bearing any costs involved.
